I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
An Ordinance to amend the Patents Ordinance 1892
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to
the Governor's Instructions
This Ordinance amends the Patents Ordinance 1692 in the
directions indicated as desirable by the Secretary of State in
his despatch No.52 of 17th March, 1909.
Section 5 (2) is designed to carry out in a concise form
the instructions in the final paragraph of the despatch.
By the same section (3) power is conferred upon the Court
to revoke a patent on proof that circumstances exist similar
to those which lead to revocation in England.
